This CAR:
The sports car Aston Martin DB2 was launched in 1950 at the New York Auto Show, as the natural successor to DB1 Two Litre Sports, and priced at £ 1,914.
Is offered as a two-door, two-seater coupe and head later this year as a coupe fall head.
DB2 home had a chrome grille with three bedrooms with large vents in the front wings, but the newer models have a grid in one piece without ventilation.
The hood is hinged to the front, the spare wheel is placed on the back, and there was the luggage space behind the front seats.
First DB1 DB2 uses a tubular steel frame that had been shortened and strengthened both with a six-cylinder, 2.3 liter Lagonda engine and four-wheel suspension coil spring independent front.
I used Girling hydraulic drum brakes all, and had a curb weight of 1,207 kg.
However, the final production version is based on using factory car engines and body panels Lagonda 2.6 liter aluminum.
With orders for 100 cars standing at launch, sales of the DB2 were such that the company has been stretched to meet demand.
By the time production ended in 1953, 411 DB2 had been built, including 339 of the 102 coupe and drop heads.

This produced a top speed of 110 mph and 0-60 mph time of 12.4 seconds.
In 1951, the most powerful DB2 Vantage sports car was launched, and a modified engine with larger carburettors, a tree of different cam and a compression ratio increased from 6.5 to 8.2 include: 1.
125 hp was developed and produced a top speed of 116 mph, with 0-60 mph in 11.2 seconds.
However, this alternative was not appropriate for the domestic market due to the availability of just a postwar low octane fuel.
